another life lesson

One that I seem to struggle with on a regular basis.

Change does not equal loss. Change doesn't have to be all bad, even if parts of the change aren't so great. Seems that I am not great with change. Oddly, for a lot of my life, I had myself convinced that I was. Ahhh, the games we play with our own minds.

Someone who loves me pointed out that the last 7 or 8 years of my life have been full of change. And for each instance and each circumstance, I have rallied my troupes and fought the good fight.

Change is a process for me, much like grieving. I get angry, then I get sad, then I accept and I move on. Acceptance is the sweet spot - it's a hard road to get there, but once you're there, whatever life threw at you along the way often seems so worth it...
