the break-up

So I'm having my colon removed. The whole thing. It's a bit crazy really.

I'm experiencing a large number of feelings - fear, excitement, sadness, apprehension (same thing as fear really, but worth saying twice!)...

I'm pretty happy that I wore a bikini this summer (well, the parts of summer when I wasn't in the hospital!). Chances are it'll be a one piece in 2008. It was pretty fun. Maybe it'll be back to the bikini by 2009 (how's that for positive thinking?!) Of course, maybe my hair will have grown back by 2008 or 2009 as well!

This surgery will be a good thing. There will be adjustments to life as I know it, but then, that's what makes life so interesting.
