side effects

I really hate my medications. Not always, but right now. Ok, truth be told, I always hate the Prednisone, but love my Remicade, and usually have a neutral relationship with my Imuran.

I don't feel very neutral today...

So far, since being on these medications I have experienced a whack of side effects: I am a bit moody at times (flying into random rages can be considered moody, right?), I have developed a rash on my neck and shoulders, I have fairly consistent insomnia (because I slept so well before!), and who knows what's happening on the inside that I don't know about...

This morning, handfuls of my hair came out. It was everywhere. In the sink, on the floor, on my shirt.... argh.

Good thing that on most days, I don't worry too much about my hair. I knew it would pay off to be a low maintenance girl...

time for something new?!

I'm debating Landscape Design.

Courses like Horticulture, Ecological Studies, Plant Materials, Environmental Planning.
Topped off with a course in Entrepreneurial Venture Management, and it sounds like a major lifestyle change.

It's a 2 or 3 year plan. If I choose it.
Hmmmm.

slowly but surely

Life returns to normal.
I wake up with my children. I water and tend to my garden. I take pictures of snails in the front yard.
I am getting better. And stronger.
It's just taking time.

a lovely time was had by all

This afternoon, we, the Greenwoods, went to see "Ratatouille". It was our first adventure out to the movie theatre with our little people... unless you count the "Mummy Movies" that I used to take them to when they were babes.

It was a whole lot of fun - we brought our own snacks (damn the man!) and some ear-muffs for Max (he only wore them for the first 20 minutes!) - and everyone made it through the whole film!!!! We had plans and back-up plans, and didn't need to use any of them... I love when that happens!

Afterwards we went into the arcade area and the kids played air-hockey. It was too funny. Chuck E. Cheese may not be too far in the future for us after all.
