santa claus is coming to town

I wonder how kids know things. Like about Santa. Ab knows details (and fairly accurate ones for a 2 1/2 year old!) and I've never talked to her about Christmas or Mr. Man-from-the-north-pole! It's interesting what they learn from listening... listening to parents talking the kitchen, listening to other kids on the playground, listening the sounds of the world around them.

I think that there is a lesson in here somewhere. I'll let you find it - with a hint that it might be about hearing and listening!!!

Do both more and you'll be more satisfied and more happy!

Talk to you soon,

happiness is

No, not Marineland (I maintain that it's cruel and unusual punishment for whales to be kept in tanks smaller than some peoples swimming pools!!)

My son wrapping his arms around me and saying 'I love you so much Mummy'.
My daughter, warm and groggy from sleep, cuddling up to me so tightly that I can't move.
My van being warm when I get in because my husband went out and started it for me.
A client smiling at me after a long day together.

Small things are the real blessings in life. The rest of it is just icing on the cake. Or the raisins that I pick out of the rice pudding. Nothing to lose sleep over - you just sometimes have to work around them!

where did my babies go?

The 6 million dollar question!!!!
These kids look way too big and way too old to be mine....

By the way, if you ended up here from the Butler's Blog - WELCOME! If we've met, then it's nice to see you! If this is our introduction... well, know that I'm even better in person!

Talk to you soon.

mom 7807

If the people at MEHRI (the York study) weren't so lovely, this number assignment might feel cold and impersonal. But they are all so very lovely. And so very good to Max.

So it's okay that they have labeled me a Mom (but a future note to both of my kids - all my mother's day cards better say "I Love You, Mum!") and assigned a random number to me (sort of like a Borg without the spandex bodysuit!)... They will do great things with Max, and for that I am soooooo thankful.

Talk to you soon.
